Music festival season is in full swing, and many big-name musicians will be performing at festivals and venues around Virginia during June. From major country acts to the biggest names in rock and pop, catch your favorite artists and discover new ones all over the Commonwealth.

VIRGINIA MUSIC FESTIVALS
The Red Wing Roots Music Festival is held June 23-25 at the scenic Natural Chimneys Park in Mt. Solon, is a family-friendly event that blends bluegrass and folk music. Multiple stages allow a wide array of regional and national bands to continuously play various genres during the festival, and there are tons of organized outdoor events as well such as bike rides, hiking, fun runs and interactive kids activities.
A brand-new country music festival, Beach It! (June 23 & 24) makes its debut this summer in Virginia Beach with top national recording artists Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, and Thomas Rhett turning up the heat on a huge beach stage as concert-goers kick up some sand in flip flops or boots.
Out & About Festival is a two-day, three-stage festival of music and nature June 24-25 at Wolf Trap Center for Performing Arts in Vienna. Headlined by Brandi Carlile, Out & About celebrates pride by spotlighting LGBTQ+ artists and allies who live out loud. Other acts include Yola, Rufus Wainwright, Lucius, Celisse, and more.
The Hampton Jazz Festival returns to the Hampton Coliseum June 23-25 with acts including Anthony Hamilton, Stephanie Mills, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Charlie Wilson, Fantasia, Babyface, Kenny G, and more.

Richmond’s summer concert series, Friday Cheers, continues some of the nation’s hottest touring acts, along with some regional favorites to Brown’s Island every Friday night in June.
